| July 1, 2015 Dear Classmates, Are you ready to celebrate a significant milestone, our 50th class reunion? While it’s hard to believe that we left the halls of East Rowan High School five decades ago, it’s easy to remember the good friendships that we made at school. And now it’s time to renew those bonds! The Reunion Team has planned a special two-day celebration, beginning on Friday, November 27, 2015, at the Faith American Legion (the same place we had our first reunion in 1970). We’ll gather between 5:00-6:00 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and fellowship. A catered buffet will follow around 6:30 p.m. The menu is: grilled chicken breasts, pork BBQ, slaw, tossed salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, pineapple casserole, homemade desserts, rolls, and tea. The rest of the evening will be open-mic reminiscing, mixer games, Sixties music, and dancing. If you are willing to perform (sing, dance, twirl, juggle, stand on your head, yodel, whatever…), let us know. The second part of the reunion will occur on Saturday, November 28. We’ll meet at East Rowan High School at 10:00 a.m. for a tour. Lots of things have changed since we were there! Around 11:00 a.m., we’ll gather at the home of Linda and Lanny Merrell, 1070 Crescent Rd., Rockwell, for brunch. You can stay as long as you like. Weather permitting, some classmates may want to play golf, so we’ve included that possibility on the registration sheet. Of course, we want you to attend both events, but the two events have been priced separately, just in case you can’t make both events. Please see the registration sheet for costs. Please complete the questionnaire for the booklet and for keeping our database current. The price of the booklet is included in the Friday night banquet, but not included in the Saturday morning brunch. If you are not attending the reunion, we will mail a booklet to you for $15.00. The deadline for registration and returning your questionnaire is October 1, 2015. The Reunion Team has spent many hours verifying contact information, but we could not verify 35 classmates. Please look over the “unverified” list below and help us if you can. If you wish, you can bring a door prize on Friday night, but it’s not required. The attire is dressy casual.
